We visited in 2022 and enjoyed the country. For us it was a pretty straight forward place. It neither thrilled nor disappointed. It is an easy country to get around in, though the tolls for the Autoroutes are very expensive. They are very proud of their cobblestone roads and they are very extensive in most towns. For us driving in an RV they lose their charm after a while and we came to appreciate asphalt as a road surface. The wine is good and the food is ok. We skipped Lisbon, and we may decide to go back to take in the capital in the future.
