Our day was a simple one, we shifted about 350 kilometers south to Spain. It was an easy drive. We have a favorite camp ground we usually stay at near San Sebastian that we usually just show up for. But based on how busy campgrounds have been, the one we stayed at last night was probably 80% full by nightfall, I decided to try to book our favorite campground in advance. It was a good thing I checked as it was full. We looked for a plan B and found a campground on top of a pretty good sized mountain near San Sebastian and I booked a place for two nights. When we arrived today they were turning people away without reservations.
We are finding that shoulder season is becoming busier and busier. When we first started traveling here it never occurred to us to book anything. We would just show up and were always able to get a place. More and more near popular places we are booking in advance.
We spent the afternoon relaxing and will head into town tomorrow.
