Suddenly our decisions are being decided by time, on every trip there comes a point where the logistics of wrapping up the trip start to weigh on our plans. Two days ago we took a day off because we were tired and the normal rainy days that serve as rest days had not happened on this trip. Today our first serious storm of the trip is on us. On top of that we are in a town we really like. Earlier in the trip we would have just hunkered down for a rain day. But we are pretty far south of Amsterdam, so instead of resting we decided to take advantage of light traffic Sunday and head north about 4 hours to Peniscola.

No beautiful vistas today, just clouds and a wet windshield.

The drive went smoothly and we only hit one really wet stretch for about 30 minutes. The rest of the way was light showers. Traffic was light and we by-passed Valencia so all in all a good drive. We arrived in Peniscola and set up in a slightly underwhelming campground for the day. The bad weather is supposed to continue tomorrow so we will have another decision to make.
